Jason Gittens This band just has so much depth to their music, coupled with that amazing voice make this one of the most exciting up and comng bands i've listened to in years, These guys know how to make real music, their tight cohesive sound is really refreshing, a quality that most bands these days lack. I can't wait for more from Eidola, i would love to hear a cleaner version of "Divide", what an amazing song, can't get enough of that one, check it out on youtube folks!! Favorite track: The Golden Rule Is, There Is No Golden Rule.
Canty Bloke

Canty Bloke I always listen to this album as a whole. I don't know what to say about it really. I like listening to it though. Favorite track: A Night With Frank Sinatra, Two Tabs Of Mescaline, And A French Tranny.
Niels Rakhorst

Niels Rakhorst Fabulous vocals, absorbing lyrics, and a sound that grabs you and just doesn't let go. Beautifully crafted, the wide range of styles and influences always feel like they fit exactly where they need to go. Favorite track: Bastard's Fire.

From the start we built a hole To trap our mind and kill our soul Gave our self a place to hide Infinite space and measurable time What once was lost can now be found Irrational thought, immovable sound Transcendent solarplex align An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind Come with me and find a home In light, in dark, in water and stone As the world begins to come undone There is no you, there is only one
2.
Is everybody in? Because no one is speaking Perpetual bliss Through the mouth of the martyr How do you know that you're alive? Without a voice? Without questions? (They compromise their faith without a need for reason) Will love find us as lonely men (They find a flaw in every crevice, every inch of the soul) Knowing what we can't obtain You were my savior You gave me the gift Gave me the children My purpose To retrace the lines And find out how it all came to be Do you believe the afterlife is eternal? What are you looking for? If death is an escape, then why are you waiting? Life is too perfect for words (They compromise their faith without a need for reason) Will truth find us in the end (They find a flaw in every crevice, every inch of the soul) Never to know of our bliss You were my savior You were my savior You gave me the gift Gave me the children My purpose To retrace the lines And find out how it all came to be (((((We move in circles))))) This is evidence Of men who never existed Never to have walked the earth But forever bathed in sin With nothing to lose And everything to gain We're going nowhere faster than we planned
3.
I was the river's smile Coursing through your mind Keeping your speech in tune While I wrestled the fire We were golden (I hear you're coming 'round again) Drinking nights away (I feel you sleeping in my bones) Singing for the ages (You're here to bring me back to earth) We've been singing lives away for years There's nothing here There's nothing here But your sex and drugs You're always selling me out But your sex and drugs Keeping me down You mountebank You know I can't resist the world We've been on the streets (You know I'm coming 'round again) Waking up for the first time Getting closer (You'll feel me sleeping in your mind) Ever closer To the end of our demise (I'm here to bring you back to God) There's nothing here There's nothing here But your sex and drugs You're always selling me out But your sex and drugs Keeping me down You mountebank You know I can't resist the world So I shake off the need to be sober Show them that they can mean something We are supplement to everything in sequence Shake off the need for mutuality There's no real love in this business Bypass the need for a come-down It's all what you believe

Argue 04:47
So take this you're bound to feel something There's no point in talking yourself out Of common ground Please don't forget to step sideways Intentions lead to malfunctions Through the eyes, no surprises Higher and higher Burn this city, burn this city Higher and higher We always do our best to stop and forget Higher and higher Burn this city, burn this city Higher and higher Caught in the same mistake, to always disagree Always monitoring pulses and attempting To keep your head on tight, at least for the night Did you forget to wear clothing? Or did you leave your morals back at home, Where we all belong? Oh no Oh no Oh no Oh yeah The night's still young We're never going home We've got everything you need
5.
We're constantly trembling men Lives invested in glass houses Reflections abroad, but narrowed and drawn Just to watch as I drift between dreams Do you recall the roads we paved Along the way Complete us We're doing our best to get by Is it absolute To die and be forgotten We complete us When we know ourselves so well Will you wait by the river, To see if we make it home safe? Are we safe? Are you safe? We remember you As a child in the arms of the infinite We remember As you pass through the wombs of the earth The smell of cigarettes seeps through the door As if I wasn't enough, you keep asking for more Begging and borrowed, you call out my name But you're far too young to not be in the game We can't leave here Until we open the door Sarcophagus bliss or intangible copies We work to free ourselves from what's free You can't breathe here or find a lost cause With my ash in the urn, who's counting what's gone We remember you As a child in the arms of the infinite We remember As you pass through the wombs of the earth
6.
I was caught stagnant in the house of the holy Riddled with riddles and a jaded mind I rattled in rhyme, with no sense of time When I heard her divine voice speak slowly "You're gonna need a bastard's fire, If you're gonna stand up for us. You can't be givin your light away For that misplaced sense of lust." As the years aged my weary eyes My vagrant journey led me to the riverbed I drank from the well and felt the light of man Incandescent children singing, "Praise us once again" "So you've got your bastard's fire, But you ain't got no one to lead." And I said, "Naive sister, We'll lead each other, just you wait and see." Come with me and open your mind We'll take a trip through space and time Where one is all, all is one Come together under the sun Everybody, I and I
7.
Redundancy in the form of explanation To hide behind a subtle flaw and bring about the end Consistency is comfortable, but prerogatives inclined We speak to know, and know to speak In learning we have slept through the winter Only to learn what it means to become (And awake with you again) When we welcome complications We're selling our worth by the day We remain Locked in a room We built without knowing Constructing ideas too heavy to carry Constructing ideas too heavy to care I slept through the winter Only to learn what it means to become (And awake with you again) When we welcome complications We're selling our worth by the day Leave the dead space between the walls We'll find a way to compromise integrity House into a home Give us a God that we can believe in
8.
Jagannatha 05:18
One million eyes set in motion by a man of pride, a heretic If there's a way out tell me now While we're all still here We're still waiting for you to take us away And make us whole again But you never came And we never thought to ask why We just lost belief by the day Gained perspective by the hour We found a way in And it seems we're here to stay We're still waiting for you to take us away And make us whole again But you never came And we never thought to ask why And you taught us not to question Taught us not to ask why Why?! We're still learning With patience With time With understanding Take us away And make us all forget That you'll never come, And we'll never care
9.
Mercury into gold Manifest yourself a place to hold Compromise the dream, suffocate the dreamer You'll never know We are the perfect balance of imbalance and subterfuge We don't have the answer She will coalesce into existence Omnipotent, immaculate Our mother's hands are perfect They will teach all of us how to let go I am imperial (The son of the son) I am collected (Into the only one) The burden of the throne Panegyrized in stone Exiled from The temple of the weak Transmutation The Magnum Opus dignified Amalgamate the soul Detach yourself from reason And then you'll know We are the perfect semblance of God and her intransigence Vindicated from antiquity I need light I need oxygen
10.
I've been gone for so long I can barely recall The day I departed Or the day you arrived The incubus of divergence Turned convalescent In the invariably broadening conspectus of time and place But I couldn't stay there In a place where spatial identity was irrelevant In all I could do. . . In all I've ever wanted. . . I'll pack my bags (As full as I could) And take it all with me I'll pack my bags (As full as I could) Go back to the start Then I lose myself In the smoke filled room In the throne of the omnipotent Preternatural impulses To think that we can go it alone But there is nothing to gain Nothing to sacrifice And all we have is everything we share To help each other along
